The Department of Chemistry, Gangasheel Mahavidyalaya, Faizullapur, Nawabganj, Bareilly, is dedicated to providing quality education in the field of Chemical Sciences and fostering academic excellence, scientific temper, and research aptitude among students. The Department commenced its Undergraduate (B.Sc.) programme in Chemistry in the year 2015 and subsequently introduced the Postgraduate (M.Sc.) programme in 2018 to cater to the growing academic and research aspirations of students.
Since its inception, the Department has been striving to create a conducive learning environment through effective teaching-learning processes, well-equipped laboratory facilities, experiential learning, and student-centric academic activities.
In accordance with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the quality benchmarks of NAAC, and the academic goals of the institution, the Vision and Mission of the Department of Chemistry have been formulated to provide a clear direction for the department's academic growth and overall development.

Department’s Mission

Department of Botany provides education to students of Botany as per the syllabus of the University to get the knowledge of:

  • To provide quality and learner-centered education in Chemistry through innovative teaching methodologies, practical training, modern laboratory facilities, and ICT-enabled learning.
  • To cultivate scientific temper, analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills that empower students to excel in academics, research, and professional careers.
  • To promote research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and Green Chemistry practices for environmental sustainability and societal well-being.
  • To encourage students to participate in Milk Survey and community-based studies focusing on the quality, hygiene, consumer practices, and potential health risks and diseases associated with milk and dairy products, thereby enhancing their scientific temperament, research aptitude, data analysis skills, and social responsibility.
  • To engage students in the formulation and evaluation of Organic Soap through product-based and experiential learning activities, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, practical skills, Green Chemistry practices, and awareness of sustainable development.
  • To prepare students for higher education, competitive examinations, research, and diverse career opportunities in academia, industry, government organizations, and allied scientific fields.
  • To instill professional ethics, leadership qualities, teamwork, communication skills, environmental consciousness, and a commitment to lifelong learning and community service.
